What Pannary is
Pannary is a family meal planning app that uses AI to generate weekly dinner plans, shopping lists, and prep instructions tailored to your household. We are a small independent product. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name and avatar.
- Household preferences — family size, dietary restrictions, cuisine preferences, cook time preferences, and any other preferences you enter during onboarding.
- Meal plans — the plans we generate for you, your shopping lists, and any chat tweaks you make.
- Meal ratings — thumbs up/down ratings you give to individual meals.
- Usage data — basic analytics on how the app is used (page views, feature usage). We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use your data
- To generate and personalize your meal plans.
- To remember your preferences and ratings so future plans improve over time.
- To sync your plan across devices and with family members you invite.
- To send transactional emails (login links, account confirmation). We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To improve Pannary as a product. We may review anonymized, aggregated usage patterns.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Third-party services
Pannary is built on the following services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your data is stored in Supabase.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI model that generates your meal plans. Meal plan requests are sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic's usage policies apply.
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.
- Google — optional Google OAuth sign-in.
Data retention
We retain your account and plan data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Some anonymized aggregate data may be retained for product analytics.
Your rights
You can request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data.

Children
Pannary is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of Pannary after changes constitutes acceptance.
